Early morning is my most favorite time of the day. I love the peace and calm of the dawn. At a time when the world seems to have become very loud and quietness so hard to come by with so much of noise all around all day long, the early morning time comes as a precious gift. It's a joy to watch the sun slowly ascending over the horizon and so I make sure that I do not miss it. To my luck, I have got both a temple and a mosque in the vicinity of my flat, they act as my alarm clocks. Waking up to the ringing bells in the temple or the muazzin's call for prayer from the mosque just before the dawn is a blessing in itself. I couldn't have got a better start to the day.
Waking up early and making the most of each morning is actually a daily goal for me. Some people find waking up early as one of the hardest habits to cultivate but thanks to my mummy, I have always been an early riser right from my childhood. I make sure that I go to bed early at night and thus I wake up feeling fresh in the morning after having had a sound sleep. It takes me only a couple of minutes to shake off the sleepiness and I am fully awake.
After waking up, I drink a glass of water as it helps in stimulating bowel movements and thus cleans out the intestines.
Next comes the most vital activity of the morning - brushing. I use Colgate 360 Charcoal gold toothbrush. Its charcoal spiral bristles have very slim tip and so they can reach deeper areas in between the teeth and gums. So the brush is very effective in removing the germs from my mouth, thus resulting in no bad breath. Also its antigerm bristles fight and prevent germ growth on the brush, so the brush can last for almost three months.
After brushing, I go outside for cycling. Not only do I find cycling as the easiest way to remain fit but it's also a joy to cycle on the empty roads in the early morning hours when it's calm and the air feels so fresh.
On returning back, I prepare my breakfast that usually comprises of rotis, boiled dal and curd or else a bowl of fruit salad to go with a glass of milk and cornflakes. Eating a healthy breakfast is essential as it provides our body the energy it needs for the entire day.
Thus my morning routine, though simple but is very effective in making my good mornings turn into gold mornings.
