Ah, black! My favourite colour. I don't know why but I have always been fascinated by the colour. No other colour has enchanted me as much. There is something mystical about black. To me, anything in black invariably looks classy and elegant. I have had so many indulgences with it - black shirts, black pants, black ties, black shades, black shoes, black knickers, black caps, black phone, black laptop, black coloured bike and yet, when it comes to choosing the colour while purchasing a thing, black still remains my most preferred colour. And I doubt if I will ever have enough of it! Not that I am not fond of or haven't tried the other colours but I invariably find a touch of the exotic in anything that is black - be it a clothing or a gadget. The simplest of a thing looks so sophisticated if it's in black! So I still wish to possess a few other things in black.
Well, if I were to list the 5 black things that I desire to have, they would be:

When it comes to being 'dressed to kill', James Bond is the ultimate style icon, no one else comes close. At least I haven't seen any other screen character having such an impeccable sense of style (consistently in every sequel). The character was probably written to exude class in whatever he did and he indeed does! And the first image that comes to mind when one thinks of Bond is undoubtedly a tuxedo. Well, he looks stunning in whatever he wears, but he looks a class apart when he is in his familiar 'black tuxedo' look. I have always fantasized about being the James Bond when I put on a black suit. But probably only a tuxedo will exude that elegance of the Bond, not an ordinary suit. So I have this desire since long to own a black coloured tuxedo -- a 2-button bespoke one, with a wider, satin shawl lapel and satin sleeve cuffs -- just as the one that Daniel Craig had donned in 'Skyfall'.

2. A Black Rado Hyperchrome Watch:

A watch is said to be the single most essential accessory a man can own and choosing the right one for a particular occasion adds to his style statement. I remember, I literally drooled when I had seen this watch for the first time on my boss's hand in an office party as I did a handshake with him. It was love at first sight, I just couldn't take my eyes off it. And I instantly decided that it was the watch for me. After a bit of searching on Google, finally I could find the exact model. Sadly though, it will cost me a fortune (Rs 2,40,400) when I go to buy this one.
3. A Black Kindle

I have always been an orthodox reader who loves owning hard copies of books so that he could touch the paper of the books while reading. Holding the digital version just doesn't give the same feeling. But then, necessity often forces one to embrace the new technology. I have been travelling a lot these days and carrying the paperback books along only adds to the weight of the luggage. So I am often forced to take only a few books and leave behind the others at home. Kindle will give me the flexibility to carry almost about a 1000 books with me! It would be like I was carrying a library with me. Being light-weight, it would be absolutely hassle-free reading with a kindle while travelling. I haven't decided on when to take the plunge - buying a kindle - but whenever I do, I will surely choose a black one. What better colour than black to go for my first Kindle?
4. A Black coloured Guitar

Though I have only been a bathroom or a kitchen singer all along, but I enjoy singing nonetheless. And on weekends, whenever I go visiting a serene place with no one around -- say, a beach, or an old dilapidated fort or a forest valley, I often break out singing my heart out. And strangely, I feel rejuvenated. Indeed, music can uplift one's mood instantly. Having a guitar and knowing how to play it will only add to my excitement and joy. So since the last few weeks, I have been wishing to buy and learn how to play a guitar. Well, logically speaking, it won't make much of a difference whether it's a black guitar or a white coloured one, because ultimately it depends on the player who is strumming the chords to produce a magical note, not the colour of the guitar. But then, continuing with my fascination for black, I will go for a black one.

Unlike most guys, I have never been too fond of the cars or the mean machines that they highlight in the action movies. But I guess, destiny had other designs marked out for me and I was to fall head over heels in love with this masterpiece of an art. I set eyes on this car for the first time outside the British Embassy in Chanakya Puri and it was love at first sight. Well, I wasn't at fault to be gawking at it, it was absolutely breathtaking. I wonder how it would be like to drive around the city in this car? I don't know if I will ever be able to buy this stunning masterpiece in this lifetime (it costs Rs 1.35 crores in India at present) but I can probably never stop dreaming about it. If only wishes could be fulfilled!
I don't know when exactly will I be able to buy all of the above listed things, or whether I will be able to own them all or not, but if and when I do buy any of these, they will definitely be only in black. Because black is beautiful.
